My visit to Koprivstitsa

One of my incredible visits to Koprivstitsa was in the year 2000 with two friends of mine – Boryana, a German teacher and Kate - an American girl at the age of 24 who came to Bulgaria one year earlier like my colleague at school. We decided to go to to Koprivstitsa to see the big national folk festival that is held in every 5 years . And these days were fantastic like experience and pleasure together. We traveled on a very hot day at the beginning of August not in the best way. But from the next early morning everything was great! We decided to have a coffee in a very nice place in the centre of the town and only in few minutes there came 3 strangers – 2 girls and a man who asked us to sit at our table. They were smiling and kind and we invited them with pleasure. They introduced themselves. The girls were French but a man was from Israel. We found so many common subjects to discuss that the next two days we were inseparable. The two French girls were so impressed . They shared that they have come in Bulgaria to learn Bulgarian customs and dances and they wouldn’t like to go back to France …they were so fascinated by our folklore. We had a wonderful time together, in the first evening watched the concert in the square of town , had tea , laughed a lot telling different stories and compared our songs, dances and style of living. It was very interesting and amusing for me because I has usually been somewhere with my family and now I felt myself in a different way- more free and perhaps more artistic. It was very funny because Israeli didn’t stop annoying Kate . He wasn’t very tactful and talked to her about the war, bombs , American guns and….
She began to hide from him and it was very, very funny. They were like children. But the last day they became more friendly and they made some pictures together because they realized that they will never be able to forget these three days in our country.

Nowadays I often remember this wonderful time and can say that the best
of our visit to Koprivstitsa was that we all felt ourselves there like a family , so free and merry, cheerful , easy-going …we were Humans. It was wonderful to listen to music together, do dance Bulgarian horos and to walk around and observe very interesting and old Bulgarian customs …

People be together with music and you will love each other more…I am sure.
The Koprivstitsa Festival

Introduced by the communist regime to preserve Bulgarian folklore, the Koprivstitsa Festival is a priceless event that features authentic folk music and dance from across the Balkans, with most performers in their ethnic costume. It takes place in and around this showcase historic village of Ottoman trader's houses in a wooded vale of the Sredna Gora Mountains. Held every five years, the next festival is likely to be immense, as the number of foreign visitors to the region increases. The multi-stage festival site lies outside the village – bring walking shoes and everything you might need for the day. The camp site is a good place to go for all night jamming and dancing. Stalls for handicrafts, musical instruments, CDs, food and drink are plentiful.

A 'quelle' scuole private.

WIR NENNEN ES HAMBURG Interdisciplinary art festival 11 October 2008 - 4 January 2009 http://www.kunstverein.de

Hamburg is booming, say the city marketing agencies. Hamburg sucks, say a lot of artists. Into this crossfire of interests WIR NENNEN ES HAMBURG (We Call It Hamburg) crashes. The one side wants to draw more attention; the other doesn't want to allow itself to be used as a drawcard for spectacles. This debate is old and new at one and the same time. In the works this debate is not yet apparent. Meike Behm, Yilmaz Dziewior and Corinna Koch from the Kunstverein in Hamburg and Amelie Deuflhard, Nadine Jessen and András Siebold from Kampnagel have done interviews, listened, argued, and now it's being served: WIR NENNEN ES HAMBURG. From 11 October 2008 to 4 January 2009 you can make your own picture, or have it made, of the diversity of artists, choreographers, directors and musicians taking part in the festival. Of course there are still other artists to be discovered -- outside the festival. Our focus is on artistic positions that stand out because of their particular interest i n interdisciplinary topics and ways of proceeding. On the whole, at WIR NENNEN ES HAMBURG it is not so much individual artists who stand in the foreground, as the attempt to provide insight into present-day cultural production in Hamburg by drawing on more than 250 positions. In doing so, tribute will also be paid to those artists who have played, or are playing, a significant role in the emergence and development of the Hamburg art scene. FREE DATES FOR CREDIT CRUNCH CITY FROM DRAWING DOW

FREE DATES FOR CREDIT CRUNCH CITY FROM DRAWING DOW
EMITTENTE DRAWING DOWN THE MOON

09-10-2008

LONDON, October 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Drawing Down the Moon Introduction Agency is offering free trial dates to
available, single city types looking for love if they have a suitable match
waiting on their books. This is to meet the increased demand triggered by the
credit crunch.

The demise of Lehman Brothers and other financial institutions may have
triggered the realisation that there are many more important things than
money to be concerned with. Love, for instance and perhaps switching to a
less stressful and more meaningful career to allow space for a relationship
to blossom

"People return to basics in times of crisis," says Drawing Down the Moon
MD, Mary Balfour. "Love survives all, but can be hard to find in our busy,
career driven society. We weren't surprised to see a 15% rise in enquiries
since early April when the world economy noticeably started to stagger."

Drawing Down the Moon is one of London's best kept secrets. Founded in
1984 and based in the serendipitously named Adam and Eve Mews in Kensington,
it has thousands of happy endings to its credit.

A frank and fair appraisal of whether or not you can benefit from
membership begins with a phone chat with one of the friendly consultants
followed by a personal interview if they think they can help. The Agency is
well known for being the place celebrities, media and business professionals
head for when seeking romance.

Celebs? "Yes, but only a few will go public," says Mary. "Discretion is
our stock-in-trade. Architects, TV directors, doctors, successful business
people, teachers, etc all come to us in addition to City types and well known
public faces. They're all single and seeking romance but don't want to be
spread over the press or discussed by work colleagues - as happened to former
BBC newsreader Jan Leeming, who was unmasked by the press recently as an
internet dater. All Drawing Down the Moon members sign a confidentiality
contract."

YouReporter.it – nuovo sito ed espansione all'estero

YouReporter.it – nuovo sito ed espansione all'estero
