FRAME is moving to the Cable Factory.
The Cable Factory houses artists' studios, gallery and exhibition spaces and is a home to HIAP – Helsinki International Artist-in-residence Programme, AV-arkki – The Distribution Centre for Finnish Media Art, The Finnish Museum of Photography and Zodiak – Center for New Dance, to name but a few. This close proximity to other cultural actors and the spatial possibilities of the new office will also allow for FRAME to deepen its informational role by a way of creating a project space functioning as a platform for collaborative activities such as screenings, presentations, workshops, and visitors' talks. New electronic grant application system. In addition to the move, the application procedure for FRAME grants will also see some changes. The existing paper forms will be replaced by a new electronic application system on 1 February 2009.The deadline for the first round of e-applications is 1 April 2009. Similarly, the applications for residency grants may only be submitted electronically from the beginning of February 2009. Before filling in the electronic application form, it is necessary for private individuals and organizations to register as an applicant, for only registered applicants are able to submit grant and residency applications and accounting forms via the electronic system. Guidelines for registering and applying as well as previews of the forms will be published on our website in January 2009. Please note that due to testing of the new system, there is a break in applications during a specific test period. You can read more about this and other changes from our website.
