VIDEO COMPETITION FOR THE VENICE BIENNALE
Deadline: 1st of February 2009
The competition will introduce a journey across the world.
In exactly one minute you will see a landscape filmed
through the window of a running train. One minute of English
landscape, German landscape, Russian, Chinese, African,
American, Dutch... the whole world by train in a collective
artwork. Make your One Minute through the window of a
running train – in exactly one minute, in one take, with
the audio of the train – without credits (the organization
will make one credit title with all makers). A selection of
One Minutes - TRAIN will be shown as an installation in the
Arsenale Spa during the Venice Biennale, followed by other
exhibitions. All submitted videos will be part of the award
competition in the category looking out of the window. The
winner of the category wins € 1000,- plus honour and glory.

XXXVII PAINTING COMPETITION - SPAIN
Deadline: January 9 th 2009
Any artist can participate in this XXXVII national
competition of painting. The unique theme of the convocation
will be the Landscape, in any artistic expression and
without limits of location. The contest remains open to the
oil and acrylic techniques, or mixed techniques in which
intervenes one of the two previuos techniques. Maximum three
works for every artist. The format of the proposed works
will have to have a maximum dimension of 150 centimeters for
the biggest side and a minimum dimensions of 50 centimeters
for the smaller side.
First prize of Euro 4.500 / Second prize of Euro 3.000 /
Third prize of Euro 2.000

VIDEO COMPETITION - ITALY
Deadline: January 15th 2009
Typology: video
NoLogo Spot Festival is a contest that aims to stimulate the
production of not commercial "spot" that communicates social
themes and themes of interest for the collectivity and in
which the creativeness of the advertising language interacts
with the language of the images also putting itself out of
the traditional canons of the so-called “progress”
publicity. The contest is open to young people between the
18 and the 35 years old of any nationalities and the works
can have a maximum duration of 60 seconds. The works will be
exhibited during the demonstration that will be held in
Turin in the 2009 spring and that it foresees, besides the
review of the video in contest, a section for the works "out
of contest" and a retrospective on the European productions
as well as thematic meetings on the social communication.
The prize for the best spot will be of 1000 Euro.

CALL FOR NEW ART WORKS – UNITED KINGDOM
Deadline: 05 January 2009
Emerging artists living outside the UK are invited to
propose a new work to be realized at an Art Fair 2009.
Projects may take the form of site-specific installation;
performance; film; video and print work.
The Award includes:
- A 3 month residency in UK from August to October 2009
including accommodation, per diems and travel expenses.
- Project production costs of up to £10,000 

- An artist’s fee of £1,000

PAINTING CONTEST - SPAIN
Deadline: December 22 nd 2008
Every author can introduce a maximum of two works non
winning in other contests that won't have to be inferior to
73x60 cm. neither superior to 200x180 cm.. The works must be
introduced framed at least with a wood bar and without
signature. Thematic and technique are free. From the 16 of
January to the 13 of February 2009, an exhibition will be
organized with the selected works at the House of the
Culture in a town of Spain.
First prize of Euro 4.500 / Second prize of 2.500 Euro.

VÍDEO CONCURSO PARA LA BIENAL DE VENECIA
Plazo: el 1 de febrero de 2009
Este concurso presentarà un viaje por el mundo. En
exactamente un minuto, será posible ver un paisaje filmado
por la ventana de un tren en marcha. Un minuto de panorama
inglés, alemán, ruso, chino, africano,
americano,holandés... el mundo entero por un tren en una
obra colectiva. Haces tu minuto de vídeo por la ventana de
un tren en marcha - en precisamente un minuto, en una toma
única, con el audio del tren - sin créditos (la
organización hará un título con todos los creadores).
Una selección de todos los videos llegados será expuesta
como una instalación en el arsenal Spa durante la Bienal
de Venecia, seguida por otras exposiciones. Todos los videos
llegado estarán en concurso por la categoría:
guardándo fuera de la ventana. El vencedor de la
categoría vence Euro 1000 - más honor y gloria.

CONCURSO DE PINTURA – ESPANA
Plazo: 22 de Diciembre 2008
Cada autor podrá presentar un máximo de dos obras no
premiadas en otros concursos, que no serán inferiores a
73x60 cms ni superiores a 200x180 cms. Estas se
presentarán enmarcadas al menos con un listón y sin
firmar. Tema y técnica libres. Del 16 de enero al 13 de
febrero de 2009, con motivo del Certamen, se organizará
una Exposición en la Casa de la Cultura de una ciudad en
Espana, con las obras seleccionadas.
Primer premio de 4.500 euros / Segundo premio de 2.500 euros

VÍDEO CONCURSO - ITALIA
Plazo: El 15 de enero de 2009
Tipología: vídeo
NoLogo Spot Festival es un concurso que se propone de
estimular la producción de "spot" no comerciales con temas
sociales y de interés por la colectividad y en los que la
creatividad del lenguaje publicitario interaccione con la
del lenguaje de las imágenes también colocándose fuera
de los canones tradicionales de la asillamada publicidad
progreso. El concurso es abierto a jóvenes entre los 18 y
los 35 años de edad de cualquiera nacionalidad y las obras
podrán tener una duración máxima de 60 segundos. Los
trabajos serán expuestos durante la manifestación que se
tendrá a Turín en la primavera del 2009 y que preve,
además de la reseña del vídeo en concurso, una
sección por las obras "fuera de concurso" y una
retrospectiva sobre las producciones europeas además de
encuentros temáticos sobre la comunicación social.
El premio por el mejor spot será de 1000 euros.

- Una residencia de 3 meses a Gasworks de agosto a octubre

XXXVII CONCURSO DE PINTURA – ESPANA
Plazo: 9 de enero de 2009
Pueden participar a este XXXVII concurso nazional de pintura
todos los artistas que lo desean.
El tema único de la convocatoria será el PAISAJE, en
cualquiera de sus expresiones artísticas y sin límites
de localización. El concurso queda abierto a las
técnicas de óleo, acrílicos o técnicas mixtas en que
intervengan alguna de las dos anteriores. Máximo de tres
obras. El formato habrá de tener una longitud máxima de

VIDEO CONCORSO PER LA BIENNALE DI VENEZIA
Scadenza: 1 febbraio 2009
Questo concorso presenterà un viaggio attraverso il
mondo. In esattamente un minuto, sarà possibile vedere un
paesaggio filmato attraverso la finestra di un treno in
marcia. Un minuto di panorama inglese, tedesco, russo,
cinese, africano, americano olandese... il mondo intero
attraverso un treno in un'opera collettiva. Fai il tuo
minuto di video attraverso la finestra di un treno in marcia
- in precisamente un minuto, in una ripresa unica, con
l'audio del treno - senza crediti (l’organizzazione farà
un titolo con tutti i creatori). Una selezione di tutti i
video pervenuti sarà mostrata come un'installazione
nell’Arsenale Spa durante la Biennale di Venezia, seguita
da altre esposizioni. Tutti i video pervenuti saranno in
concorso per la categoria : guardando fuori dalla finestra.
Il vincitore della categoria vince Euro 1000 - più onore e
gloria.

XXXVII CONCORSO DI PITTURA - SPAGNA
Scadenza: 9 gennaio 2009
Possono partecipare a questo XXXVII concorso nazionale di
pittura tutti gli artisti che lo desiderano.
Il tema unico della convocazione sarà il Paesaggio, in
qualsiasi espressione artistica e senza limiti di
localizzazione. Il concorso rimane aperto alle tecniche ad
olio, acrilico o tecniche miste in cui intervengano una

NoLogo Spot Festival è un concorso che si propone di
stimolare la produzione di “spot” non commerciali che
veicolino temi sociali e di interesse per la collettività
e nei quali la creatività del linguaggio pubblicitario
interagisca con quella del linguaggio delle immagini
collocandosi anche fuori dai canoni tradizionali della
cosiddetta pubblicità progresso. Il concorso è aperto a
giovani tra i 18 e i 35 anni di qualsiasi nazionalità e le
opere potranno avere una durata massima di 60 secondi. I
lavori pervenuti saranno mostrati durante la manifestazione
che si terrà a Torino nella primavera del 2009 e che
prevede, oltre alla rassegna dei video in concorso, una
sezione per le opere “fuori concorso” ed una
retrospettiva sulle produzioni europee nonché incontri
tematici sulla comunicazione sociale.
